The Studio Space FAQ’s

Where is The Studio Space?

We are located in Spencer House on Dunmore Street.

Level 2, up the stairs turn left.

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes there is a lift on the ground floor of Spencer House, and the doors are wheelchair wide.

Are there bathroom or kitchen facilities in The Studio Space?

There are shared bathroom facilities within the building complex (not in the studio itself) that are available to use for Studio customers (code access will be supplied on booking).

There are no kitchen facilities, however a tea + coffee station is available for hire for up to 20 people (see our Equipment for Hire tab) if required, or great cafes nearby!

If you need special kitchen facilities just get in touch and we can discuss your requirements!

Is catering available?

Yes we can assist with sourcing/arranging catering for your shoots, just flick us an email or give us a call and we can help arrange this for you!

Where do we park?

We unfortunately don’t have any dedicated parking spots, however there are a number of parking options available in the area.

The “skate park” parking on Dungarvon St allows up to four hours, or a little further along Brownstone St there is free all day parking.

Alternatively there is a paid parking lot on Dungarvon St, next to the 'White House'.

We suggest you pull up out front of Spencer House on Dunmore St where there is usually 30mins spots available, unload any equipment that you need to bring up (we have trolleys at the studio for you to use if required) and then move your vehicles to the longer parking spots.

Can I book hourly or just the meeting room?

We do allow hour by hour bookings and also the booking of just the meeting room (aka The Martini Room), however these are only by arrangement, and usually only within a week of the booking. Just get in touch and let’s chat about what you need!

I’m planning on being a regular user, do you do annual memberships?

We will soon! Sign up to our mailing list and we will let you know when this is ready to go.

In the interim, lets just have a chat and we will be able to help you out on a regular basis.

Can you help us while we are in the Studio?

The Studio has been designed for users to be able to come in and use the space without the need for us to be there – however if it’s your first time or you aren’t experienced with film lighting and equipment you might like to hire one of our crew to assist you during your shoot. If this is the case, please just get in touch with us and we will discuss your need with you.

How do I access the Studio?

Once you have booked we will send you all the info you need for using the space, including your own access code for the studio doors. If you are planning to be on site really early or late at night we can meet you there to let you in the main building also.

Is it soundproof?

While we have put a lot of effort into building a purpose build sound stage, we do still have neighbours and the space is not 100% soundproof. However most of our neighbours do operate during normal business hours, so just get in touch if you have a particularly sound sensitive project and we can chat about what times might work best for you.

Do you have other spaces also available for hire?

We will soon! Sign up to our mailing list and we will keep you in the loop!

In the interim, we can also assist with location scouting – so if there is a particular scene you are looking for, just let us know and we are happy to provide this as an extra service.
